Questions about maintenance
What counts as a change?
Text and image updates, new pages built from your existing design, price changes, adding a form or a section. The everyday jobs. Bigger work, like a new feature, a new type of page or a redesign, is quoted separately and doesn't come out of your hours.
How quickly will you get back to me?
Within one working day for anything you send us (Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 17:30). On Care, changes are done within two working days and usually the same day; on Care Plus we start on them the same working day. If your site goes down or has a security problem, we're on it within four working hours on Care and within one on Care Plus.
What if I need more than my hours?
We'll tell you before you go over. Extra time is £75 an hour, in 15-minute blocks. If you're regularly over, Care Plus usually works out cheaper.
Which updates do you do?
Security patches for .NET and the packages your site uses go on within seven days of release, sooner if one is being actively exploited, and other updates monthly. Each is checked on a copy of your site before it goes live.
Can you maintain a WordPress site?
No. We only work in C# and .NET. If your WordPress site is becoming a headache, we can rebuild it in .NET and look after that instead.
Do I need hosting with you as well?
No. Care plans work with any hosting. Having both with us saves a little and means one phone call when something needs doing.
What if I don't use my hours one month?
Unused time rolls over for one month, so a quiet month isn't wasted.
